Masi Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG is one of the flagship Amarone wines from the historic Masi Agricola estate in Valpolicella Classica, northern Italy. It’s often described by the producer as “Masi’s gentle giant” — a wine that combines power, majesty and balance, and has become a benchmark for the Amarone category, standing alongside other Italian greats like Barolo and Brunello in the world of premium red wines.

Blend: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara.

Appassimento: Grapes are carefully dried on bamboo racks for months to concentrate sugars, aromas and flavors — a method at which Masi is considered an expert.

Aging: Extended maturation (often ~24 months) in oak barrels (predominantly Slavonian oak, sometimes with a portion in French oak) adds depth and structure.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Deep, intense ruby/red.

Aromas: Baked and cooked fruit like plum and cherry, often with spice, tobacco, coffee and cocoa notes.
